Parts Salesperson

Barloworld Equipment provides total solutions in earthmoving equipment, materials handling and power systems and related equipment in 10 countries in Southern Africa. As the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, Barloworld Equipment supplies equipment, parts and service to customers in the mining, construction, handling, agricultural and energy industries.

Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited is looking for a suitably qualified individuals to fill the positions below:

PARTS SALESPERSON

KITWE / SOLWEZI / LUMWANA / KALUMBILA/LUSAKA

Applicants suitably qualified based on the requirements stated below are invited to apply for the positions.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidates will manage the following tasks: driving aftermarket revenue growth by selling genuine machinery parts and components, managing customer accounts, and delivering quick, accurate solutions to minimize client equipment downtime.

Key Outputs include but are not limited to:

• Assist customers in identifying the correct parts on SIS 2.0
• Quote creatin and following up with the customer
• Process parts orders, maintain them efficiently and effectively
• Provide feedback to customers with their Backorder status
• Planning and releasing Parts on CRM
• SAP (ERP) Knowledge (Must have)
• Understanding HIS (Hydraulic Information System)
• Creating Shopping cart and Quotations on our Online system (PCC)

Minimum Job Requirements

• Full Grade 12 full certificate with good grades
• A Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management and/ or equivalent
• Paid up membership to Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
• Technical qualifications would be an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS office EPR systems/packages
• Not less than 2-5 years exposure to a Parts Warehouse environment
• Clean driver’s licence.
• Ability to handle heavy loads / Ability to operate lifting equipment

Proven competencies:

Organizing ability, Attention to detail, Customer Service orientation, Good communication and interpersonal skills ; Mechanical understanding, Basic business and financial acumen, Ability to diffuse situations effectively, ability to provide options.
