Operations Manager

Key Requirements

• Over 6 years’ direct experience in fuel storage depot and materials management.
• Proven experience managing petroleum products, stock levels, procurement, and depot operations.
• Strong people management experience, including supervising teams and coordinating daily activities.
• Ability to make sound decisions, manage risks, and work independently in changing environments.
• Strong knowledge of safe storage, handling, inspection, maintenance, and delivery of petroleum products.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent operational deadlines when required.
• Strong focus on HSSE, operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent ability to work with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement, importation, storage, and delivery of petroleum products across designated depots.
• Manage fuel allocations, supplier orders, imports, and product deliveries to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Oversee depot operations, stock levels, material handling, and the safe movement of petroleum products.
• Lead operations teams by allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring daily activities are completed efficiently.
• Ensure storage and handling activities meet safety, quality, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, repairs, certifications, and preservation of critical equipment and materials.
• Drive HSSE practices through safety inspections, toolbox talks, interventions, and workplace organisation.
• Work closely with procurement, inventory, technical teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain operational readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and introduce technology-driven operational solutions.

• Over 6 years’ relevant experience in fuel storage depot and materials management.
• Relevant experience in petroleum, fuel storage, logistics, or industrial operations.
• Additional qualifications or training in HSSE, operations, supply chain, or petroleum management would be advantageous.
