Nanga Farms Limited is a large, irrigated sugarcane estate situated 25Km Northeast of Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Group and a subsidiary of Zambia Sugar Plc. Its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of cattle.

The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions:

2. WELDER x4 - SEASONAL CONTRACT

Reporting to: Workshop Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and ensure all welding meets safety and quality standards
• Weld, cut and shape various metals including aluminium and steel
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment
• Ensure all welding work complies with safety standards and collaborate with team to meet project deadlines
• Repair and maintain existing metal structures/products

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Knowledge of SHERQ, excellent knowledge of machinery, aptitude in using hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, precision calipers), ability to follow procedures and read instructions, ability to work in noisy environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 school certificate
• Craft Certificate in Metal Fabrication / Welding / Boiler making is an added advantage
• Should be 18 years and above
• 2 Years' experience in similar field is an added advantage
• Must be a registered Member of EIZ
• Certificates verified by ZAQA
