Job Purpose

To fabricate, repair and maintain metal structures, equipment, and components for production machinery and plant infrastructure. The role ensures all welding and fabrication work is done safely, to specification, and in compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and OHS standards to support uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the any repair and Maintenance in the shift
• Preventive and annual maintenance planning and ensuring all activities are carried out within time
• Responsible for the 5 S, Top5, Top15 and Top 60 targets.
• Safety & Quality: Ensure all welding works meet quality standards, are food-safe where applicable, and comply with OHS procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in Food Industry in Mechanical Maintenance.
• Should have Knowledge of Human safety and Equipment safety.
• Grade 12 CertificateTrade Certificate.
• Trade Certificate in Welding & Fabrication from a recognized institution.
• Valid certification in welding processes will be an added advantage.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and take measurements.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Team player and able to work under pressure.
