Nanga Farms Limited is a large, irrigated sugarcane estate situated 25Km Northeast of Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Group and a subsidiary of Zambia Sugar Plc. Its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of cattle.

The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions:

3. HANDYMAN - PAINTER x1 - PERMANENT

Reporting to: Building Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or skimming to ensure smooth and durable finish
• Apply paint using appropriate tools and techniques
• Install glazing using window putty and fit window latches and related components
• Repair cracked wall plaster surfaces and perform general wall maintenance
• Conduct routine maintenance painting, inspect building structures and report issues
• Ensure work complies with local Building Codes and Standards and follow all safety procedures/PPE

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 9 School leaving Certificate or better
• Level I (one) Trade Test Certificate or better in Painting, Decorating and Signwriting
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial or residential painting
• Knowledge of paint types, tools, and surface preparation techniques
• Certificates verified by ZAQA

Work Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often at height or in confined spaces. Exposure to paint fumes, dust and chemicals. Requires frequent standing, bending and lifting. Use of PPE is mandatory.
