Metal Fabrication Engineer and Production Manager

Espeka Zambia Limited is seeking to employ a qualified Metal Fabrication Engineer and Production Manager.

1. Oversee and manage all metal fabrication activities at the workshop.
2. Supervise fabrication staff and ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion of work.
3. Research, design, and develop new products that can be introduced and sold in the market.
4. Continuously come up with innovative ideas for new products, tools, and equipment based on market needs and customer requirements.
5. Turn product ideas into practical designs and prototypes for testing and production.
6. Improve existing products and fabrication methods to enhance quality and competitiveness.
7. Prepare and issue Material Requisitions for production requirements.
8. Monitor material usage and minimize wastage and unnecessary production costs.
9. Review and verify Sales Orders to ensure specifications, quantities, measurements, and materials are correct before production begins.
10. Work closely with the Sales, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure smooth production.
11. Ensure production follows approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
12. Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and profitability.

Qualification

• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Metal Fabrication Engineering from any reputable Institution
• Minimum Experience of 5 years
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, and relationship-management skills, with professional fluency in English is required.
