What we collect.
Information in your CV and application form (name, contact details, NRC or passport number, qualifications, skills, employment history, referees), information gathered at interview and in assessments, and – only if we make you an offer and with your consent – information from reference, qualification and background checks and a pre-employment medical assessment of your fitness for the role.
Why and on what ground.
To take steps at your request before entering into an employment contract (section 13(b)(i)) – to manage the recruitment process, assess your suitability and decide whom to appoint – and to comply with employment and immigration law. Any medical assessment is carried out under section 14(1)(b) by a medical professional and we receive only the fitness-for-work outcome.
Is providing your data compulsory?
You are not obliged to provide information, but if you do not provide the information needed to assess your application we may not be able to consider you for the role.
Who sees it.
The HR team and the hiring manager(s) for the role. We do not share your data with third parties unless we make you an offer that requires reference or background checks, in which case we will tell you and obtain your consent first. Your data is stored on systems in Zambia.
How long we keep it.
If your application is unsuccessful we keep your data for [12 months] after the end of the recruitment process to handle any queries or claims, after which it is securely deleted. We will ask for your separate consent if we would like to keep your details longer for future opportunities. If your application is successful, your data becomes part of your employee file and is handled in accordance with the Employee Privacy Notice.

JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL FITTER
Department: Engineering - Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer
Number of vacancies: 4
JOB PURPOSE
To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all mechanical equipment and machinery in the plant. The role ensures maximum equipment availability, reliability, and performance through planned preventive maintenance and breakdown response, while complying with GMP, Food Safety, and OHS standards to support continuous production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the any repair and Maintenance in the shift
- Up-keeping of the stand by equipment
- Preventive and annual maintenance planning and ensuring all activities are carried out within time
- Responsible for the 5 S, Top5, Top15 and Top 60 targets
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Food Industry in Mechanical Maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance and hands on experience of repair of each equipment's, pumps, blowers, compressor, Gearbox, Mechanical etc.
- Should have Knowledge of Human safety and Equipment safety.
- Full grade 12 Certificate.
