Refrigeration Technician

REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN – 1 POSITION

JOB PURPOSE

To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure reliable equipment performance, energy efficiency, and uninterrupted production operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, inspect, service, and repair refrigeration and cooling systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigerators, freezers, and cooling equipment.
• Diagnose refrigeration system faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Monitor refrigerant levels, temperatures, pressures, and overall system performance.
• Maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and related components.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable maintenance standards.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to support efficient plant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a Related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in refrigeration maintenance, experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
• Ability to diagnose faults and repair refrigeration and cooling equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls, temperature monitoring, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Understanding of refrigerant handling procedures and workplace safety standards.
