Key Responsibilities for HSE Officer Jobs in Kitwe

• Develop and implement HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and facilitate safety inductions for all staff.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments related to routes, loading, and offloading procedures to mitigate hazards.
• Inspect fleet safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) regularly to ensure compliance.
• Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly and maintain accurate HSE records and reports.
• Ensure adherence to Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) regulations and manage driver safety programs effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of proven experience in haulage, transport, or logistics sectors, specifically in HSE roles.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian Occupational Health and Safety legislation, RTSA regulations, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Disciplined, assertive, and capable of enforcing safety standards consistently.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, Fire Safety, Defensive Driving, or a valid driver’s license are advantageous.
