Loanco is a Bank of Zambia licensed non-bank deposit-taking microfinance institution. The licence is in force. Deposit-taking is not yet open. The business is payroll lending to employed Zambians, collected by employer deduction, including government payroll.

We are hiring the head of Credit and Admin. The seat owns the file from the moment a consultant submits it to the moment it is paid, or properly declined. It does not own sales. It does not own collections. It does own speed, completeness, the credit decision inside mandate, and a book the field can see.

The work

• Run capture, quality check, affordability, CRB, credit decision and disbursement so that a complete file is paid on the same schedule the field has been promised. A file with missing documents does not enter the queue. Screening and the AML file standard are done before payout. AML clearance is not credit approval.
• Hold the mandate. Loans at the ordinary level follow the standing process. Larger loans, and any loan that settles an outside lender, follow the extra sign-off already set. You do not stretch a mandate because a consultant is waiting.
• Stop the black hole. Field Managers get a status the same day, in a form a consultant can explain to a client. Queries are answered by your team, not left in a shared inbox.
• Keep the statutory filings that sit with this seat on time. A registrar update asked for in August is not still open in October.
• Lead the Lusaka team: capture, quality check, client service and admin. Numbers grow only after the current team is accurate. Credit Ease is the system. Prior use of Credit Ease, or an equivalent loan system, is required.

What we want

• Eight years in credit operations or credit administration, at least three of them leading people, in a Zambian microfinance institution, a payroll lender, or a bank personal-loan book.
• A degree is useful.
• A book you have actually run is required.
• You can read a payslip, a CRB report and a PAR table, and you can say no.

What we pay

• ZMW 26,000 to ZMW 32,000 a month, gross, on experience.
• A small quarterly amount tied to turnaround, file accuracy and the quality of what you approve.
• Not a sales commission.
