The Zambia Institute of Secretaries (ZIS) invites applications from qualified and experienced Zambians for several secretarial and compliance jobs in Lusaka. Established under the Zambia Institute of Secretaries Act No. 19 of 2022, ZIS is the statutory body responsible for registering and regulating the secretarial profession in Zambia. We seek dedicated professionals to join our team in full-time roles across accountancy, administration, and legal categories.

3. Compliance and Membership Registration Officer

Job Purpose: To uphold ZIS’s regulatory mandate by monitoring and enforcing the Act, regulations, professional standards, codes of conduct, and policies through compliance monitoring, inspections, investigations, and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Business or Public Administration, or related field; a relevant degree or professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with five ‘O’ Levels at credit level or better.
  • At least three years’ experience in compliance, regulation, inspection, risk management, or investigations.
  • Experience with regulatory enforcement or professional/statutory/membership bodies is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance principles, and enforcement processes.
  • Excellent investigative, analytical, report-writing, and Microsoft Office/database skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections objectively, engage stakeholders, travel as required, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with integrity, impartiality, confidentiality, and professionalism.
