Key Responsibilities for Accountant Jobs in Lusaka

• Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements and reports to inform management decisions.
• Process payroll and manage statutory filings, including submissions to ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA, and WCFB.
• Maintain detailed ledgers, vouchers, and financial transactions using Tally Prime software.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable to maintain cash flow and vendor relations.
• Assist in budget tracking and support the annual audit process to uphold regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA.
• Valid ZICA membership is mandatory for this position.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Tally Prime accounting software.
• Strong understanding of Zambian tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.
