Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the end-to-end warehousing and logistics function. This role ensures inventory integrity, efficient material movement, and timely delivery to customer sites. It requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to anticipate future capacity and logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end material flow from factory release to final delivery, including reverse logistics.
• Drive warehouse digitalization and make operational decisions on transport, prioritization, and capacity.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, ERP discipline, and standardized warehouse operations.
• Plan and optimize warehouse layout, capacity, and infrastructure to support growth.
• Manage receiving, dispatch, and urgent site deliveries.
• Control freight, carrier/3PL performance, customs compliance, and logistics costs.
• Develop dashboards, monitor KPIs, and enforce corrective actions.
• Lead and develop supervisors, building future capability and succession.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business.
• ZIPS required; CIPS/CILT advantageous.
• 10+ years in warehousing/logistics, 4+ years in leadership.
• Heavy equipment, mining or OEM background essential.
• Proven track record in inventory accuracy and site delivery.

Skills & Competencies

• Warehouse/inventory management, cycle counting, obsolescence control.
• Freight, customs, clearing and Incoterms expertise.
• ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Capacity planning and logistics optimization.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinker with ability to manage complexity.
