About the Truck Driver Roles in Chibombo

This full-time position requires candidates who can ensure the safe and timely delivery of various cargo across our routes. You will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of service that Weaverbird Supply Chain Limited is known for. Our operations are based approximately 12 miles from Chibombo town, offering a dynamic working environment for dedicated drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport cargo safely from loading to offloading points
• Conduct thorough vehicle and cargo inspections before and after trips
• Ensure the secure handling and delivery of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
• Maintain accurate delivery records and submit required documentation promptly
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to coordinate deliveries
• Keep detailed vehicle logs and report any daily vehicle deficiencies to supervisors
• Verify all loading and delivery documents for accuracy

Qualifications and Experience Required for Truck Driver Jobs in Chibombo

• Minimum education: Grade 9 or Grade 12 certificate
• At least 3 years of professional truck driving experience
• Defensive driving certificate is mandatory
• Familiarity with SINO trucks is highly advantageous
• Mechanical qualifications will be considered an added advantage

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class CE Driver’s Licence with PSV endorsement for at least 3 years
• Police clearance certificate
• Three traceable reference letters
• Valid passport and medical certificate
• Valid yellow fever vaccination card
• Demonstrated honesty and trustworthiness
