Role Overview: Senior Project Manager Jobs in Lusaka

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion. Your duties will include defining project scope, developing detailed plans, setting timelines, and managing budgets effectively. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage logistics and expediting activities, and ensure that inspections and quality checks are completed on schedule. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing project processes, implementing best practices, and mentoring team members to foster continuous improvement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex renewable energy and power-generation projects from initiation through to successful completion
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and oversee logistics, expediting, and supply chain activities
• Ensure timely inspections and quality compliance checks
• Track project milestones and manage risks and issues effectively
• Prepare detailed status reports for senior management and maintain stakeholder communication
• Implement process improvements and mentor project team members

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
• Advanced certification such as PMP or equivalent is highly advantageous
• Proven senior or lead project management experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or similar industries
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Experience in expediting to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Inspection oversight and coordination of quality and compliance checks
• Logistics management expertise including supply chain coordination and resource allocation
• Proficiency in project management software and standard office tools
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
