Rock Breaker Operator

Background

YELLOWQUIP LIMITED is seeking to hire 10 Rock Breaker Operators for a contract position in Solwezi, Northwestern, Zambia.

Responsibilities

• Using a hydraulic hammer attachment on an excavator to reduce large, over-sized rocks into smaller, manageable pieces. This role is crucial for breaking up and demolishing hard, rock-like structures in the open pit mining environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate the rock breaker safely and efficiently.
• Skill in breaking rocks and boulders to specific millimeter sizes.
• Proficiency in performing routine checks and maintenance, familiar with Operators Checklist inputs.
• Ability to collaborate with teams and supervisors.
• Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• 3 to 4 years of experience.
• Grade 12 education is a must.
• Excavator operator certification.
• Valid silicosis certificate.
