1. Production Associate

The Production Associate will play a crucial role in supporting daily production and manufacturing operations. This position ensures that production targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and operational efficiency are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and implement production workflows, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Establish production tracking and reporting systems, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Create and maintain production KPIs, performance metrics, and operational dashboards.
• Support production planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
• Enhance inventory planning and material management processes.
• Monitor production output, investigate variances, and address bottlenecks.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish production controls for accountability.
• Collaborate with warehouse, maintenance, quality, procurement, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Assist management with production analysis, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
• Support the development of production systems as the plant expands.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Production Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
• Experience developing or implementing SOPs, workflows, and operational controls.
• Knowledge of production KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational data analysis.
• Understanding of inventory management and material planning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production/operations reporting tools.

2. Chinese Translator

The Chinese Translator will facilitate accurate translation and interpretation between Chinese and English to support communication among employees, management, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide verbal interpretation during meetings, briefings, and daily operations.
• Translate documents, instructions, reports, procedures, notices, and company materials between Chinese and English.
• Support communication between Chinese management, technical personnel, production teams, and local employees.
• Translate technical, operational, production, and workplace terminology accurately.
• Facilitate communication during onboarding, training, production meetings, and briefings.
• Assist Chinese-speaking personnel in conveying operational instructions to local employees.
• Support communication with Chinese-speaking suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure translated content reflects original meaning and context.
• Provide general language and communication support as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Translation, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, Languages, or related field preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Previous translation or interpretation experience is advantageous.
• Experience in production, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or corporate environments is beneficial.
• Ability to translate technical and operational terminology accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced work environment.

3. Truck Driver (10 Positions)

The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport and delivery of cement and other materials from the company’s plant or distribution centre to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned trucks and authorized heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Transport materials, products, and equipment efficiently while adhering to schedules.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Ensure loads are properly secured for safe transit.
• Maintain accurate records including trip sheets, delivery notes, and fuel logs.
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams.
• Report accidents, incidents, breakdowns, and delays promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and monitor fuel consumption.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and road traffic laws.
• Assist with loading and unloading when safe and required.
• Use company vehicles solely for authorized business purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Zambian driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Professional driving qualification/licence for heavy vehicles.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving trucks or heavy vehicles.
• Experience operating heavy commercial vehicles in logistics, manufacturing, or related sectors preferred.
• Knowledge of road traffic regulations and vehicle safety inspections.
• Ability to complete transport and delivery documentation accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varying hours as required by operations.
• Clean and responsible driving record is an advantage.
