Key Responsibilities for Pharmacy Technologist Jobs in Kalulushi

• Assemble, stock, and distribute medications to support pharmacological services efficiently.
• Safeguard pharmacy stock and equipment to prevent loss or damage.
• Maintain accurate records by filing prescriptions and physicians’ orders systematically.
• Sort, stock, and label medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers, referring complex questions to the Pharmacist as necessary.
• Ensure a clean and safe pharmacy environment by following established hygiene and sterilization procedures.
• Process prescriptions electronically, verifying that all information is complete and accurate.
• Perform administrative duties, including record keeping, as assigned by the Medical Officer In Charge.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Full registration licence and a valid practising licence.
• Completed Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of one year post-qualification work experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency in computer use relevant to pharmacy operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
