Key Responsibilities for Management Accountant Jobs in Kabwe

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing accurate and timely financial management information to support business decisions.
• Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control reports.
• Driving performance management initiatives and conducting non-revenue water (NRW) financial analysis.
• Supporting tariff justification processes based on detailed financial data.
• Generating management reports to improve profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• School Certificate.
• A Degree in Accountancy, Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting (CIMA Managerial Stage), ACCA Level 2, CA Zambia Licentiate, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a busy commercial environment.

Professional Membership and Competencies

• Licentiate membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) in good standing, with a valid membership certificate.
• Proficiency in Pastel accounting software and ERP systems, specifically NAVISION.
• Strong budgeting, financial modelling, and forecasting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable decisions.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance managers.
• Familiarity with NWASCO guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
