About the Accountant Role

This full-time position is based in Ndola and focuses on overseeing the company’s financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and provide insightful financial advice to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities for Accountant Jobs in Ndola

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, including variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) tax regulations such as VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax.
• Oversee payroll processing and contributions to NAPSA and NHIMA.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage treasury functions.
• Liaise with external auditors, ZRA, and other regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and organized filing systems.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Grade 12 Certificate is essential.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance, or a full professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA (mandatory).
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel, or similar applications, alongside advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of Zambian taxation laws.
• Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.
