Information Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Information Specialist to join our team in Lusaka. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining robust network architecture, deploying hardware infrastructure, delivering high level IT desktop support and supporting technical project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Networking & System Administration: Apply strong understanding of networking principles to design, maintain, and efficiently troubleshoot network faults.
• Hardware Deployment & Configuration: Configure and deploy enterprise switches, wireless controllers, Network Video Recorders and Cloud/Digital Video Recorders.
• CCTV Infrastructure: Manage end-to-end installation, configuration, and operational maintenance of CCTV camera systems.
• IT Desktop Support: Provide complete, expert level desktop support for hardware, operating systems, software applications and peripheral devices.
• Project Awareness & Management: Support IT deployment projects with active awareness of risk management and stakeholder management principles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Certifications: Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands on professional experience in network engineering, systems configuration, and IT infrastructure support.

• Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated hands on experience in configuring and managing network switches and wireless controllers.
  • Proven track record in installing, setting up, and managing CCTV systems (NVRs/CVRs).
  • Mastery across all areas of IT Desktop Support.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network environments.

• Core Competencies: Basic project management skills with a focus on risk mitigation and clear stakeholder communication.
