Health and Safety Officer

Job Summary

Implement and monitor HES policies, procedures and project requirements on site to ensure a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HES policies, procedures and project requirements on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities: working at height, lifting, excavation, hot work and electrical works.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and HES awareness training.
• Ensure proper PPE use and compliance with safe work practices.
• Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
• Monitor environmental controls, waste management and pollution prevention.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.
• Maintain HES records, reports and inspection checklists.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with HES requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Safety/HES Officer in construction.
• Knowledge of HES regulations, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, reporting and monitoring skills.
• Relevant safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.
• Must be available to start immediately.
