Position Overview: Credit Officer Role in Lusaka

As a Credit Officer at Spectrum Credit Limited, you will play a critical role in assessing loan applications, managing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position demands attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to monitor loan portfolios effectively. You will also be responsible for preventing fraudulent activities and supporting sales efforts through accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and provide sound approval recommendations.
• Ensure strict adherence to credit policies and procedures.
• Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and verify all supporting documentation.
• Manage credit risk and maintain oversight of loan portfolios.
• Identify and prevent fraudulent activities within the credit process.
• Monitor Portfolio at Risk (PMEC) and coordinate debt collection efforts.
• Provide sales support and prepare detailed credit reports.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in Risk and Credit Analysis is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience in Risk or Credit Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Mambu, CRB, and DDAC processes.
