1. Chief Broking Officer / Head of Reinsurance

Location: Lusaka, Zambia | Type: Full-time, Senior Management | Reports to: CEO

Lead all reinsurance placement strategies, manage the broking team, and ensure delivery of competitive and technically sound placements for clients.

• Oversee treaty and facultative broking activities and team leadership
• Maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, cedents, and intermediaries
• Manage placement strategy, negotiation, structuring, and documentation
• Ensure compliance and service excellence in broking operations
• Contribute to business development and client acquisition

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in reinsurance broking or senior underwriting transitioning to broking
• Deep knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance
• Established relationships with regional reinsurers and cedents
• Proven leadership and team-building skills
• Membership of Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA)
• Full Grade 12 certificate with credits in English and Mathematics
