Business Development / Client Relationship Officer

Reports To: CEO / Chief Broking Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and establish new client relationships to generate reinsurance broking business.
• Manage a portfolio of cedent accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
• Drive business growth through client acquisition, retention, and revenue generation.
• Coordinate with broking and technical teams to facilitate reinsurance placements and policy renewals.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential business from existing clients.
• Represent the company at industry events, market forums, and client meetings.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of client needs and provide appropriate reinsurance broking solutions.
• Monitor client satisfaction and ensure consistent delivery of quality services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of seven (7) years' insurance or reinsurance broking/client-management experience.
• Strong cedent relationships in Zambia and/or the wider region.
• A portable book of business is an added advantage.
• Proven business development track record.
• Membership of the Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA) is required.
• Full Grade 12 certificate with credits in English and Mathematics.
