Key Requirements

  • 9–12 years of overall professional experience within the banking or financial services sector, with strong exposure to corporate financing, lending solutions, and supporting businesses with their funding requirements.
  • Proven experience assessing financing requirements across monthly, quarterly, and annual business periods and translating those requirements into appropriate financing strategies and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and engaging with banking financial institutions, lenders, investors, and other relevant funding sources to secure suitable financing arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, financing structures, lending requirements, financial documentation, and the processes involved in securing funding for business operations and growth.
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed financing proposals, supporting documentation, financial information, and presentations required by financial institutions and potential funding partners.
  • Experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, senior stakeholders, financial institutions, and other key business partners in a professional and commercially focused environment.
  • Strong ability to understand business requirements, analyse financial needs, identify potential challenges, and recommend appropriate financing solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
  • A strong customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships while proactively addressing financing requirements and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate resilience when pursuing financing opportunities, and remain persistent throughout potentially complex or lengthy financing processes.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and financial operations, with the ability to evaluate requirements and identify opportunities to improve financing approaches and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the organisation’s financing requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, taking into consideration operational requirements, cash flow needs, business objectives, and planned growth.
  • Identify suitable sources of financing through banking financial institutions, lenders, investors, and other relevant funding partners to meet the organisation’s short-term and long-term financing requirements.
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate financing proposals, supporting documentation, presentations, financial information, and other materials required to initiate and progress financing opportunities.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings with financial institutions, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that financing requirements and business objectives are clearly communicated.
  • Manage the financing process from initial assessment and identification of potential funding sources through to negotiations, approvals, documentation, and finalisation of financing arrangements.
  • Ensure that all requirements and conditions set by financiers, lenders, and investors are fully understood, addressed, and complied with throughout the financing process.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with banking institutions, financial partners, investors, and internal stakeholders to support ongoing access to appropriate financing solutions.
  • Analyse business requirements, financial processes, and financing objectives in order to identify potential gaps, recommend improvements, and support the development of effective financing solutions.
  • Monitor financing activities and maintain accurate records of proposals, discussions, documentation, approvals, and ongoing requirements to ensure that financing processes remain organised and effectively managed.
  • Provide relevant financial and financing information to management and other stakeholders to support informed business planning, financial decision-making, and strategic discussions.
  • Proactively identify potential financing challenges and work with relevant stakeholders to develop practical solutions that support the organisation’s financial and operational requirements.
  • Perform other finance-related duties and responsibilities as required, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Management, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • An equivalent recognised qualification in finance, accounting, banking, or a related discipline may also be considered where supported by substantial relevant professional experience.
  • Professional qualifications or additional certifications in finance, banking, accounting, corporate finance, or financial management would be advantageous.
  • Relevant training or professional development in corporate lending, financial analysis, investment, financing structures, or relationship management would be beneficial.
  • Strong practical knowledge of banking and corporate financing gained through substantial professional experience within the financial services or banking environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
