What we collect.
Information in your CV and application form (name, contact details, NRC or passport number, qualifications, skills, employment history, referees), information gathered at interview and in assessments, and – only if we make you an offer and with your consent – information from reference, qualification and background checks and a pre-employment medical assessment of your fitness for the role.
Why and on what ground.
To take steps at your request before entering into an employment contract (section 13(b)(i)) – to manage the recruitment process, assess your suitability and decide whom to appoint – and to comply with employment and immigration law. Any medical assessment is carried out under section 14(1)(b) by a medical professional and we receive only the fitness-for-work outcome.
Is providing your data compulsory?
You are not obliged to provide information, but if you do not provide the information needed to assess your application we may not be able to consider you for the role.
Who sees it.
The HR team and the hiring manager(s) for the role. We do not share your data with third parties unless we make you an offer that requires reference or background checks, in which case we will tell you and obtain your consent first. Your data is stored on systems in Zambia.
How long we keep it.
If your application is unsuccessful we keep your data for [12 months] after the end of the recruitment process to handle any queries or claims, after which it is securely deleted. We will ask for your separate consent if we would like to keep your details longer for future opportunities. JOB TITLE: BOILER/UTILITY IN-CHARGE
Department: Engineering - Utilities
Reports to: Utilities Engineer / Maintenance Manager
Number of vacancies: 1
JOB PURPOSE:
To supervise and ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all utility systems including boilers, air compressors, generators, water treatment plants, and steam distribution networks. The role is responsible for leading the utilities team, ensuring compliance with OHS, Food Safety, and GMP standards, and providing reliable utility services to support uninterrupted production.
KEY RESPONBILITIES
- Responsible for the operation, recovery, efficiency calculation, maintenance in Shift.
- Coordinating with the user department.
- Maintaining the records of the down time and RCA.
- Preventive and annual maintenance planning and ensuring all activities are carried out within time.
- Planning the inventory and communicating to required department and ensuring the required material is received in time.
- Training the people.
- Responsible for the 5 S, Top5, Top15 and Top 60 targets.
- Responsible for the Reliability, RCA and OE loss analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- ü Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience Fluidised bed boiler.
- ü Through knowledge of operation and maintenance of all boiler equipment, RO, compressor and cooling tower.
- ü Sound communication skill and should be able to lead the team.
- ü Should have Knowledge of Human safety and Equipment safety.
- ü Should have the Knowledge of the Production excellence.
- ü B. E Mechanical / Diploma/ Boiler specialist with Experience of 4 to 5 years in Similar plant.
- ü Full grade 12 certificate.
