Welder

Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and maintaining metal structures and components using appropriate welding techniques while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
• Repair damaged metal structures.
• Inspect completed welds for quality.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Observe workplace safety procedures.
• Report equipment defects.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate in Welding and Fabrication or related trade.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, ARC, or gas welding techniques is an advantage.
