Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Lusaka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse/store, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment. This is a critical role supporting our logistics and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes (LPOs).
• Organize and store items systematically to optimize space and ensure easy retrieval.
• Issue materials and equipment strictly based on authorized requisition forms.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using both manual logbooks (Bin Cards) and basic computer systems (Excel/ERP).
• Conduct regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field.
• 1–2 years in a busy warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent physical condition; able to lift heavy items where necessary.
• Organized, high level of integrity, honesty, accountability and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory for communication and reporting.
• Available for weekends/late nights during peak event season.
• Must be based in Lusaka.
