Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Project Manager or Site Manager, the Trade Foremen will supervise and coordinate artisans, skilled workers, and labourers within their respective trades. This full-time role is based in Lusaka and requires leadership to ensure that all work is completed on schedule, adheres to quality standards, and complies with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work activities of artisans and labourers in the assigned trade.
• Allocate tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Oversee proper use and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with other trades to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Identify and report defects, delays, material needs, and technical issues promptly.
• Enforce health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Minimize material wastage and reduce rework through quality workmanship oversight.
• Provide regular progress reports to management.
• Maintain discipline, teamwork, and professionalism on site.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 9 School Certificate.
• Proven practical experience in the relevant trade.
• Experience supervising artisans, workers, or construction teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and measurements is advantageous.
• Trade Certificate or relevant technical qualification is a plus.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects is beneficial.
