About the Role

Toka Contractors Ltd. is seeking a skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious Tipper Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tipper trucks to transport earthworks, sand, gravel, stone, and other construction materials safely to and from designated project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Vehicle Operation: Drive heavy-duty tipper trucks to and from quarries, construction sites, and stockpiles in compliance with road safety laws.
  • Material Offloading & Tipping: Safely operate the tipper’s hydraulic tipping mechanisms to unload construction materials smoothly and accurately.
  • Pre & Post-Trip Inspections: Perform daily routine vehicle checks (tyre pressure, oil, hydraulic fluids, brakes, lights) prior to operating.
  • Load Management: Ensure loads are within legal weight limits, properly balanced, and secured to prevent spillage or road hazards.
  • Basic Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep the truck clean, perform minor routine checks, and report mechanical defects promptly to the fleet supervisor.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain clear daily trip sheets, delivery notes, and fuel logs as required by logistics management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Driver’s License: Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License (Class C / CE).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of verifiable experience operating heavy-duty tipper trucks in construction, mining, or civil engineering.
  • Documentation: Valid National Registration Card (NRC) / National Identification Document.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical awareness, site navigation skills, and a thorough understanding of heavy vehicle road safety.
  • Attributes: Punctual, honest, physically fit, and able to work flexible hours or weekend shifts when required.
