Theatre Nurse

Coptic Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated professionals for the position of Theatre Nurse (full time).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Provide quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team during operations.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques and infection prevention and control standards.
• Ensure the proper handling, sterilization, and availability of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patient safety and ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and theatre documentation.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Advanced Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing from a recognized institution is required. A BSc will be an added advantage.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant nursing regulatory authority.
• ZAQA Verification of all qualifications.
• At least 10 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an operating theatre.
• Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of patient care.
