Teaching and Learning Lead

Teaching & Learning Lead (Cambridge Curriculum)

Lotus Way International School is seeking an excellent classroom teacher with the experience and ability to strengthen teaching practice and develop colleagues.

Reporting to the Principal, you will combine classroom teaching in your specialist subject or phase with responsibility for teacher development and teaching improvement. We welcome applications from different subject specialisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons and model effective classroom practice.
• Coach and mentor teachers through collaborative planning, lesson observations and constructive feedback.
• Strengthen curriculum planning, assessment and the use of student work to inform teaching.
• Lead practical professional development sessions and support teachers in applying what they learn.
• Work with the Principal to set achievable teaching improvement priorities and review progress against evidence.

Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification and a relevant degree.
• At least five years of successful teaching experience, including substantial experience with Cambridge programmes.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring teachers or leading a subject, year group or teaching improvement initiative.
• Strong classroom practice, assessment knowledge and communication skills.
• The ability to work constructively with colleagues and turn improvement plans into consistent practice.
• A clear commitment to student safeguarding and professional conduct.

Experience as a Head of Department, Teacher Mentor, Curriculum Coordinator or Teaching & Learning Lead is particularly relevant.

Salary

K15,000–K25,000 gross per month, depending on demonstrated teaching expertise, leadership experience and the agreed scope of responsibility.
