Available Positions for Fast Food Jobs in Lusaka
- Shop Assistant (1 Position) – Preferably Female
Experience: Minimum 1 year
The Shop Assistant will be the face of Spud & Stack, responsible for sales, customer service, and supporting kitchen and shop operations.
- Greet and assist customers professionally
- Accurately take and communicate orders to the kitchen
- Handle payments and customer inquiries responsibly
- Assist with order packing, serving, and basic food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop and service areas
- Support opening, restocking, and closing duties
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Adhere to company policies, hygiene standards, and SOPs
Ideal candidates are friendly, presentable, honest, numerate, organised, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Kitchen Assistants (2 Positions)
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Kitchen Assistants will prepare and cook a variety of Spud & Stack’s signature products including burgers, fries, cheesebeef, mac & cheese with chicken, chicken dishes, Chips Mayai, and loaded fries.
- Prepare food according to recipes and SOPs
- Operate burger/make-line stations and deep fryers safely
- Maintain portion control and presentation standards
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and stock rotation procedures
- Keep workstations clean and organised
- Work efficiently during busy periods and assist other stations as needed
- Report stock shortages, equipment issues, and food quality concerns
Experience in commercial grilling, deep frying, chicken and meat preparation, and kitchen coordination is advantageous.
- Shawarma Assistant (1 Position)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in shawarma preparation or similar fast-food environment
The Shawarma Assistant will ensure consistent, hygienic, and timely preparation of shawarma products.
- Prepare shawarma ingredients and season meats
- Operate the shawarma station safely and efficiently
- Assemble wraps and platters to company standards
- Maintain portion accuracy and food presentation
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety procedures
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to complete orders promptly
- Minimise food wastage and report stock shortages
General Requirements for All Applicants
- Reside in or near Kalingalinga/Kamloops area
- Minimum education: Grade 12
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and understanding)
- Relevant experience for the applied position
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and SOPs accurately
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality
- Physically able to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and late shifts
- Reliable, honest, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Clean and hygiene-conscious with a willingness to learn and accept training
- Reliable transportation to work
Food and kitchen applicants with qualifications or training in Food Handling, Production, Catering, or Hospitality are preferred.
Preferred Experience in Structured Quick Service Restaurants
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience at well-known quick-service brands such as KFC, Hungry Lion, Nando’s, Debonairs, Steers, Pizza Hut, or similar establishments that emphasize recipe adherence, SOP compliance, food safety, and portion control.

Working Conditions & Benefits
This full-time role operates in a busy quick-service restaurant environment. Shifts may include day, evening, weekend, public holiday, and late closing hours. Late-night transport is provided for employees traveling to approved nearby areas, subject to company arrangements.
