SHEQ Officer

SMECH Engineering Services Zambia Limited is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic SHEQ officer for the 20 MW power plant project at our client's location, M/s. Kawambwa Sugars Limited (KSL) in Kawambwa, Luapala Province, Zambia.

Required Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Safety and Health Management

Experience:

• 3-5 years in construction and factories in the SHEQ department.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Implementing and maintaining safety and health policies and procedures
2. Conducting toolbox talks, audits and inspections.
3. Providing training and guidance
4. Investigating accidents, incidents, and reporting to the management
5. Managing the SHEQ committee.
6. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards
7. Developing and managing the SHEQ training program.
8. Ensuring the safety and health of workers
9. Knowledge of safety guidelines about working at heights, confined spaces, hot works, excavation, material lifting, electrical safety, etc.
