We are looking for a skilled and driven Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Zambia. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a two-year fixed-term contract, work at a dynamic mining site, and make a tangible impact through your engineering expertise, leadership, and commitment to project excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with the agreed scope, programme, budget, and quality standards.
Provide technical leadership on dams engineering, earthworks, and construction supervision, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Develop and monitor project programmes and schedules, tracking progress, and identify risks and delays.
Manage project resources, budgets, timelines, and deliverables in accordance with contractual requirements.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control, to ensure the successful and timely delivery of project objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
BSc Engineering (Civil) with professional registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
A minimum of 15 years’ relevant engineering experience, including proven expertise in dam engineering, earthworks, and construction supervision.
Strong project management capabilities, with demonstrated experience in planning, conducting, and managing site investigations.
Proven ability in project planning, scheduling, and delivery.
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC).
Ability to take full ownership of projects, provide effective leadership, and collaborate confidently within multidisciplinary teams while working independently when required.
Willingness and ability to lead and mentor junior to mid-level technical staff on site as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
