Position: Senior ICT Officer Bulk Intelligence and Data Analysis

Job Purpose

Reporting to the ICT Manager – Bulk Intelligence and Corporate Systems Support, the job holder will support corporate Data Analytics function by ensuring that they meet business needs through integrations, availability, reliability and alignment to the overall business goal.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To maintain and support business Intelligence and Data Analytics needs of the Organisation.
• Ensure the reliable operations of Analytics Systems by providing technical support, performing performance tuning, ensuring system security, optimizing system efficiency, and aligning systems with business requirements. Maintain enterprise data warehouse (DWH) system and related Applications Servers.
• Maintain Extract Transform Loading (ETL)\ Extract Load Transform (ETL) processes.
• Support the enterprise wide data quality initiatives.
• Experience in web and application servers such as IIS, Apache, Apache TomCat etc.
• Document all systems changes and incidents according to incident and enhancement standards and procedures.
• Develop, implement and maintain systems support standards, procedures and related and user manuals.
• Ensure that system enhancements are maintained and implemented as prescribed to the satisfaction of all stake holders.
• Ensure that system amendments are tested before installation and results confirmed by the users of the system.
• Implement all security levels as stated in the ICT security standard manual for all user data.
• Ensure systems high availability through: Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Assessment, Business
• Continuity Strategy, Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Data Backup and Recovery, Incident Response Plan, Testing and Drills, Plan Maintenance and Review.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE).
• Minimum Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Not less than three years’ experience in the Information and Communication Technology profession.
• Experience in development, implementation, administration of Analytics Systems.
• Relations Database Experience in Oracle or MSSQL databases.
• Experience in Data Warehousing, data management and data engineering.
• Must be a member of the ICT Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) with a valid praciticing certificate.
