Key Responsibilities for Senior Finance Officer Jobs in Ndola

• Manage the Accounts Payable processes in line with established policies and procedures to guarantee timely and accurate payments.
• Review supplier invoices and supporting documentation to verify completeness and validity before processing.
• Match supplier invoices to purchase orders, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
• Respond to supplier queries and escalate unresolved issues to the Head of Accounting or Cashier as necessary.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier sub-ledger accounts against the general ledger and the Company’s Accounts Payable register.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all invoices, approved payments, and staff advances.
• Prepare ageing reports on outstanding debts and payments to suppliers to support effective cash flow management.
• Review and verify staff advance requests, ensuring all requisitions have appropriate departmental authorization.
• Recommend improvements to invoice processing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Compile periodic activity reports detailing outstanding payments and invoice statuses for the Head of Accounting.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor to support the finance department’s objectives.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Full Grade Twelve school certificate.
• Membership in a recognized and accredited professional accounting body.
• At least seven (7) years of progressive and relevant work experience in finance roles.
• Proven hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
