School Canteen Cook

Lotus Way International School is looking for a Cook to join our school kitchen team.

Salary

ZMW 4,000 per month

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for students and staff.
• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow the instructions and management of the school’s Head Chef.
• Ensure meals are prepared on time, including early breakfast preparation and evening dinner service.
• Take good care of kitchen equipment and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Previous cooking experience is required.
• Experience working in a school, boarding school, canteen or institutional kitchen is preferred.
• Experience preparing meals for children or students will be an advantage.
• Responsible, hardworking, clean and hygienic.
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Willing to work according to the school kitchen schedule.

The position may require Sunday overtime from time to time, depending on the school’s needs. Overtime will be paid separately.

The school provides accommodation for the successful candidate.
