Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years' experience in agricultural sales, preferably within fertilisers, agrochemicals, seeds, crop protection, or agricultural inputs.
- Strong understanding of crop production, soil fertility, fertiliser application, and modern farming practices.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
- Experience providing technical agronomic advice and product recommendations to farmers.
- Strong customer relationship management and account development skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable agricultural solutions.
- Experience managing a sales territory and maintaining a structured customer call cycle.
- Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and competitor activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or sales reporting systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial farmers, small-scale farmers, distributors, and agricultural businesses.
- Promote and sell fertilisers, agrochemicals, seeds, and other agricultural products within the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively grow market share.
- Conduct regular farm visits to assess customer requirements and provide technical product recommendations.
- Deliver agronomic advice to improve crop performance and maximise customer productivity.
- Prepare quotations, process customer orders, and ensure accurate sales administration.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor competitor activities, market developments, and customer buying trends.
- Coordinate product availability and delivery schedules with operations and logistics teams.
- Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, and technical presentations.
- Represent the company at agricultural exhibitions, farmer meetings, field days, and promotional events.
- Build long-term customer relationships through regular follow-ups and after-sales support.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products and expand existing customer accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and professional sales standards.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide market feedback to management.
- Promote the company's products while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years' experience in agricultural input sales or technical agricultural sales.
- Proven experience selling fertilisers, agrochemicals, crop protection products, seeds, irrigation products, or related agricultural solutions.
- Strong understanding of crop production, soil fertility, fertiliser application, and farming practices.
- Experience providing technical agronomic advice to commercial and small-scale farmers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting systems.
- Valid driver's licence with willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Membership of a recognised agricultural or sales professional body is advantageous
