JOB VACANCY | SAFETY OFFICER
A reputable company operating in the Heavy Equipment, Mining, Construction & Engineering industry is looking for an experienced and proactive Safety Officer to join its team.
Location: Chingola, Copperbelt

Gross Salary: K15,000 per month (Negotiable for candidates with exceptional experience)

Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and safety standards.
Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and employee safety training.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
Monitor PPE compliance and safe working practices.
Maintain HSE records, reports and inspection documentation.
Support emergency preparedness, drills and safety audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management or a related field.
3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in mining, construction, heavy equipment, engineering or another high-risk environment.
Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation and workplace safety procedures.
First Aid and Fire Safety certification is an advantage.
Strong communication, reporting, leadership and problem-solving skills.
