Safety Officer
Job Summary:
Support the implementation of occupational health and safety standards and ensure employees and contractors comply with mine safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.
Support risk assessments and implementation of control measures.
Monitor compliance with PPE and safe work procedures.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
Assist with investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Maintain safety documentation and prepare reports.
Follow up on corrective actions and safety recommendations.
Promote a strong safety culture throughout the mine.
Requirements:
Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, with relevant experience in mining or industrial operations.
Strong communication, reporting, and risk-management skills are essential.
