Road Design Engineer / Draftsman

Sinohydro Zambia Limited is currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals for multiple roles across its Lusaka and Solwezi-Kipushi Road Project sites in Zambia. Road Design Engineer / Draftsman (Civil 3D Specialist) – Lusaka

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive road design drawings and construction plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, profiles, and perform earthwork calculations.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings compliant with project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design files and project records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in road design and drafting.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
• Strong understanding of road geometry, drainage systems, and earthworks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Practice Licence is mandatory.
