Position: RG Laboratory Technician
Location: Kalumbila
Department: Laboratory Services
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated RG Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting laboratory operations to deliver accurate and reliable results. Ensure all quality control requirements are met. QC approval or rejection of blends /verification of traded material against supplier specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory analyses, testing, and sample preparation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management of laboratory consumables and reagents.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting laboratory equipment and processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Daily reactive ground testing (ISO thermal and temperature ramping tests)
- Conduct routine QAQC tests on manufactured emulsions, APX or EGA deliveries
- Daily calibration of laboratory instruments
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' laboratory experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality systems, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer literacy and data management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge and use of D365 is an added advantage
