Responsibilities or duties
Imaging Procedures: Perform X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and other diagnostic imaging procedures as prescribed by clinicians.
Patient Preparation: Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for imaging.
Radiation Safety: Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients, staff, and self, using appropriate protective equipment.
Image Processing: Process and evaluate images for quality, ensuring adequate clinical information is provided for medical interpretation.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain radiology equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and properly calibrated.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate radiology records, including patient details, imaging parameters, and image storage.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of imaging and reporting.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
