Purchasing & Supply Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

The Purchasing & Supply Intern will support the Procurement Department in sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to company projects and operations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations for goods and services
• Prepare Local Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes, and maintain procurement files
• Support stock taking, inventory control, and warehouse management
• Follow up with suppliers on deliveries to site and head office
• Maintain supplier database and procurement records
• Assist with tender and bidding document preparation
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Zambian Citizen
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Diploma/Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Procurement, Logistics, or Business Administration from a recognized institution
• Minimum of Credit or 60% average
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must know how to bid using the e-GP platform on the ZPPA portal*
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License*
• Must be a member of ZIPS or CIPS*
• Knowledge of ZPPA guidelines and ERP systems will be an added advantage
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• must be a Lusaka resident living near Northmead areas .
