Lloyds Metals is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Officer – Safety, OHS to join its growing mining operations.
Location: Arawa, Autonomous Region of Bougainville (ARoB), Papua New Guinea

Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all areas of the operation.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Monitor compliance with OHS legislation, company policies, procedures and mining industry standards.
Deliver inductions, toolbox meetings and safety training to employees and contractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
Prepare and maintain safety records, statistics and reports.
Work collaboratively with departments and contractors to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Minimum Requirements
OHS Safety Level 1-3 or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a safety, OHS or HSE role in the mining or heavy industry environment.
Strong knowledge of PNG OHS Act and Regulations, Mining Safety Act and industry best practice.
Experience in risk management, incident investigation and safety reporting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and training facilitation skills.
Valid PNG Class 3 Driver’s Licence.
Current First Aid Certificate.
