Nurse In-Charge
Background
Northern Zambia Union Conference (NZUC) serves the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in northern Zambia. Its health ministry seeks to reflect Christ's healing work through compassionate, whole-person care, health education and service to communities. Kitwe Polytech Hospital (KTPH) is the Union's healthcare department serving the community through clinical, nursing, diagnostic, pharmaceutical and oral health services.
Responsibilities
The Nurse In-Charge will supervise and provide nursing services and clinical care to support quality healthcare for patients while ensuring adherence to nursing standards and effective management of ward staff and resources.
Qualifications and Experience
- Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate with five O Levels, including English, Mathematics and Science or Biology.
- Diploma in Nursing and a certificate in Midwifery, Theatre or Mental Health.
- Five years of post-basic midwifery experience, as stated in the supplied job description.
- Ability to write comprehensive analytical reports and communicate effectively in English and local languages.
- Computer literacy, public relations, management, counselling and advocacy skills.
