The Night Shift SMPP Supervisor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Solwezi. You will oversee Structural, Mechanical, Platework, and Piping activities, ensuring that construction contractors meet project performance goals and adhere to schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Night Shift SMPP Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate contractors and subcontractors within your assigned project area.
• Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site, ensuring worker protection.
• Ensure construction work meets prescribed quality standards and project specifications.
• Support coordination of design deliverables to facilitate smooth and efficient construction progress.
• Report and manage deficiencies or non-conformances in collaboration with the Construction Manager.
• Assist with site administration, record keeping, and adherence to the Construction Execution Plan.
• Contribute to construction estimating, scheduling, cost control, and progress reporting.
• Serve as the primary site contact for all contractors within your area of responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Technical degree or equivalent supervisory experience in construction leadership roles.
• Minimum of five to ten years’ onsite experience managing major projects.
• Proven leadership capabilities to motivate and guide discipline-focused teams effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the EPCM project delivery model and industry standards.
• Practical knowledge of construction best practices and relevant safety regulations.
• Experience working on construction sites in African countries is advantageous.
• Willingness to work a 48-hour, six-day week including night shifts.
