VACANCY – NEWS REPORTER
Capital FM is looking for a male News Reporter to join our newsroom team in Lusaka.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, gather and report accurate and timely news
- Cover breaking news, events and assignments
- Conduct interviews and develop compelling news stories
- Deliver confident and professional live reports
- Write, edit and produce content for radio and digital platforms
- Verify information and maintain high journalistic and ethical standards
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in journalism or broadcast news
- Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills
- Strong live reporting and on-air communication skills
- Good knowledge of current affairs and local issues
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexible newsroom shifts
- Good command of English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage
- Must be proactive, professional and able to work independently
